Treasurer Sarah Steelman made when she failed to secure her party’s nomination for governor in the August primary. “I’m not running today to be treasurer to be governor later,” he said.

Lager said it was important to invest in small businesses “I’ve said it before, instead of investing our dollars on Wall Street, we need to invest in Main Street.”
