A statewide Farm Bill training will ensure all Kansas Farm Service Agency employees receive the same information to better serve Kansas farmers and ranchers. Farm Bill Training seminars will be held Oct. 21 through Oct. 24 in Hutchinson.

All permanent farm program staff personnel will attend training. However, the Farm Service Center in Paola will remain open during the training session, but will be staffed by temporary employees, county committee members or other agency staff.

The computers for farm programs will be off, and payments will not be issued during this time. Issues needing special attention arising during the training dates will be addressed by staff members when they return to the office on Oct. 27.

“We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of all our customers,” said Bill R. Fuller, state executive director of the Kansas Farm Service Agency. “Soon after this training, county offices will conduct Farm Bill informational meetings to ensure Kansas farmers and ranchers are knowledgeable of new program policies and eligibility criteria.”
