Injury accidents
Shila R. Fox, 16, Osawatomie, was driving a 1995 Pontiac Firebird west on 327th Street west of Lone Star Road at 9:16 p.m. Aug. 24 when she lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, according to a Miami County Sheriff’s Office report. Fox suffered possible injuries and was taken by ambulance to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Shanna M. Bousefield of La Cygne was driving a 1992 Honda Accord south on Hedge Lane north of 383rd Street at 2:16 p.m. Aug. 15 when she hit the rear of a 1994 Buick Skylark driven by Sheila A. Gochenour of La Cygne, who was stopped while another vehicle backed out of a driveway, according to a sheriff’s office report. No injuries were reported. Bousefield, Gochenour and Gochenour’s passenger were wearing seat belts.
An unknown person was driving a 1991 Honda Civic on Cedar Niles Road south of 220th Terrace at 2:11 a.m. Aug. 23 when he or she lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, according to a sheriff’s office report. The vehicle was abandoned when officers arrived.
An unknown person was driving an unknown vehicle north on Osawatomie Road south of 303rd Street at 10:16 a.m. Aug. 23 when he or she lost control of the vehicle and hit a mailbox post, according to a sheriff’s office report. The driver then fled the scene. It is unknown if there were any injuries.

Klint R. Kerr of Eudora reported a digital camera, battery and deer hunting stand with a total value of $330 were taken from Crescent Hill Road near Osawatomie between 9 p.m. July 19 and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 19.
Qwest of Fort Scott reported a section of fence was damaged and a fiber optic cable valued at $300 was taken from 301 Osage St. between noon July 31 and 2 p.m. Aug. 5.
Robert I. Nicholson Jr. of Paola reported a window was damaged at 29990 Osawatomie Road between 1 p.m. Aug. 14 and 1:20 p.m. Aug. 21. The damage estimate is $100.
Brody L. Roberts of Osawatomie reported an X-Box 360, four games, two controllers and a battery pack charger with a total value of $920 were taken from 28430 W. 343rd St. between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 15.
KC Construction of Louisburg reported a 20-foot trailer, two large tool boxes and several tools with a total value of $64,440 were taken from 31180 Metcalf Road between 10 and 11 a.m. Aug. 17.
Robert E. Foote and Jeremy S. Dick of Bucyrus reported a John Deere bailer and harness with a total value of $3,000 were taken from 10811 W. 215th St. between 8 p.m. Aug. 19 and 7 a.m. Aug. 20.
Doherty Steel Inc. of Paola reported a glass window was damaged at 239th Street near Louisburg at 5:42 a.m. Aug. 20. The damage estimate is $250.
Kevin L. Stone of Paola reported a radar detector valued at $340 was taken from 23825 W. 289th Terrace between 3 a.m. Aug. 22 and 7 a.m. Aug. 23.
Mark J. Brooks of Paola reported a radar locator valued at $400 was taken from 23735 W. 289th Terrace between 4 p.m. Aug. 22 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 23.
Anita E. Ohland of Paola reported a 2001 Dodge 2500 was damaged at 15739 Whispering Oaks Circle between 10 p.m. Aug. 22 and 5:13 p.m. Aug. 23. The damage estimate is $300.
Richard L. Cottle of Paola reported a mailbox was burned at 30567 Oak Grove Road between 4 and 10:45 p.m. Aug. 23. The damage estimate is $30.
Jeffery L. Woolard of Paola reported an Evinrude motor valued at $900 was taken from 26480 W. 319th St. between 8 and 8:12 a.m. Aug. 24.
Michael E. Gabbert of Osawatomie reported a 2002 Ranger 4x4 and several tools with a total value of $6,208 were taken from 34582 John Brown Highway between 10 p.m. Aug. 25 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 26.
Booked into jail
Gumaro Lopez-Sosa, 22, was booked into the Miami County Jail on Aug. 18 for allegedly operating a vehicle without a valid license and no liability insurance.
Brady A. Booton, 21, was booked into jail Aug. 18 for an alleged act of aggravated arson.
Keith D. Lawrence, 38, was booked into jail Aug. 19 for allegedly manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of depressants or stimulants.
Jeffery D. Graham, 36, was booked into jail Aug. 19 for an alleged act of forgery.
Chad R. Crandell, 42, was booked into jail Aug. 19 for allegedly violating a protective order. Crandell also was booked into jail Aug. 25 for an alleged kidnapping, stalking, violation of a protective order, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery.
Anthony A. Willeford, 43, was booked into jail Aug. 26 for allegedly failing to appear in court.
