Hearings

Keith D. Lawrence was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of opiates or narcotics, arranging for the sale or purchase using communications and no drug tax stamp. A hearing is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sept. 18.

Robert L. Ward IV was charged with domestic battery. A hearing was scheduled for Thursday.

Sean M. Tumilty was found guilty of unlawful voluntary sexual intercourse. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Oct. 16.

Destartia D. Baham stipulated to violating probation. The court took Baham’s case under advisement. Baham was on probation for one count each of burglary and theft.

The court continued the following cases. Defendants, charges and new hearing dates are:

DeWayne E. Cutshaw, probation revocation, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 16; Anthony T. Reed, probation revocation, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 16; Troy D. Johns, possession of marijuana, 11:30 a.m. Sept. 25; Jesse W. Pottorff, aggravated burglary, 3:45 p.m. Sept. 11; Scott R. Wilson, aggravated assault, criminal threat, domestic battery, criminal damage to property and violation of protection order, 3:15 p.m. Sept. 11; Aaron M. Lautt, domestic battery, 11:30 a.m. Oct. 2; Jerin L. Kramer, four counts of forgery, 2:30 p.m. Sept. 25; and Brady A. Booton, aggravated arson, 3 p.m. Sept. 11.

Dispositions

Adam E. Reeves stipulated to violating probation. The court revoked probation and reinstated it for a new 18-month term on the condition he enter and successfully complete a 120-day treatment program through the Missouri Department of Corrections. Reeves was on probation for two counts of burglary.

Danny L. Bagg was found guilty of battery and was sentenced to six months in the Miami County Jail. The court suspended the jail term and placed him on 18 months probation. In another case, the court found Bagg guilty on an amended charge of attempting to obstruct the legal process. The court sentenced him to eight months in prison and 12 months probation. The sentence will be served consecutively to two other cases. Bagg was originally charged with obstructing the legal process in a felony case.

Christopher W. Wurtz stipulated to violating probation. The court revoked his probation and reinstated it for a new 12-month term after he serves an additional 10 days in jail. Wurtz was on probation for possession of narcotics, possession of a simulated controlled substance or drug paraphernalia and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Nicholas A. Olson was found guilty on an amended charge possession of depressants, stimulants or hallucinogens and possession of a simulated controlled substance or drug paraphernalia. The court sentenced him to six months in jail on each count, to be served consecutively. The court suspended the jail term and sentenced him to 12 months probation.

The following lawsuits recently were filed:

Rodney Dryden vs. Randy R. Anderson of Olathe, requesting petition for specific performance.

Mid-West Fertilizer Inc. vs. Lester Randall Arnold of Springfield, Mo., to recover balance due on promissory note.

The following mortgage-foreclosure lawsuits recently were filed. In each case, the plaintiff is asking for a money judgment, interest, costs and sale of property, claiming the defendants defaulted on a real-estate loan. Plaintiffs, defendants and amounts of judgment requested are:

Countrywide Home Loans Inc. vs. Robert Alan Dziadura of Spring Hill, $68,635.25; and Countrywide Home Loans Inc. vs. Douglas T. and Cynthia S. Porter of Paola, $164,016.75.
