The Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Paola was the setting for the wedding of Kelsie McBride and Jace Kirk, both of Manhattan, on July 18, 2008.

The bride is the daughter of Lynn and Jane McBride of Paola. The groom is the son of James and Carolyn Kirk of Paola.

The Rev. Keith Lunsford conducted the double-ring ceremony. The organist was Judy Jeck, and Tracy Kramer was the soloist. She sang “Grow Old With Me.”

Wedding colors were black, ivory and burgundy. The bride’s cousins, Paige and Madison Krannawitter, lit the candles.

The bride’s father escorted her to the altar. She wore a strapless diamond white over light gold Maggie Sottero wedding gown with white lace over satin and a satin sash ascending the empire waistline and wrapping around the corset back.

Megan Piester was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Mitzner, Cassidy Monroe and Amanda Gerkin. They wore strapless black satin tea-length dresses.

Flower girl was Amanda Meeks, and the ring bearer was James Meeks.

Ryan Sutton was the best man and Jake Forck, Andrew Piester and Lucas Sullivan were groomsmen. Brent and Ty McBride, brothers of the bride, Vance Kirk, brother of the groom, and Todd Hurt, the groom’s cousin, served as ushers.

A reception was held at Evergreen Events on Paola’s Square. The couple rode from the church to the reception in a horse and buggy.

Mrs. Kirk is a 2008 graduate of Washburn University. She is employed at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan. Mr. Kirk is a student at Kansas State University.

The couple took a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico.

They are at home in Manhattan.
