Marjorie Yvonne McCandless, 72, Louisburg, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, in Salina, Kan.
She was born Aug. 1, 1936, in Bryn Mawr, Calif., the daughter of James A. and Mallie D. Gibson Hall.
She married Warren D. McCandless on Dec. 7, 1957, in Woodburn, Ore. She was a homemaker and served on the board of Louisburg Senior Center. She was active in numerous other area organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband Warren McCandless, six sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her three children, Michael Warren McCandless of Bennington, Kan., Pamela Dean Soper of Carthage, Mo., and Patrick Dale McCandless of Lawrence; a sister, Leora Miles of Lebanon, Ore., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday at the First Baptist Church followed by burial in the Louisburg Cemetery.
