Auten Pharmacy robbed Thursday
By Dustin Kass, dustinKass@miconews.com
Two suspects armed with handguns robbed Auten Pharmacy, 546 Main St., Osawatomie, on Thursday morning.
A pair of unknown suspects brandishing guns entered the store at about 9:50 a.m. and demanded “pharmaceuticals,” said officer Jason Hudson of the Osawatomie Police Department. He said the employees on duty complied with the request, and the suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of product out the pharmacy’s rear entrance.
Hudson said no one was injured in the robbery.
Officials from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office are assisting the Osawatomie Police Department on the case, and Hudson said the United States Drug Enforcement Administration had been notified because of the nature of the items stolen.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Osawatomie Police Department at 755-2101.
