Circus makes return to Louisburg Sunday
An afternoon of fun and entertainment is on the schedule for Sunday.
The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is in town, and the Louisburg Lions Club hopes families will come out and see the show.
Two shows are scheduled for Sunday, one at 2 p.m. and the other at 4:30 p.m. Both shows will be held by the Louisburg water tower east of Louisburg High School.
“We’ve had them out twice before here in Louisburg, and they’ve always put on a really good circus,” said Lions member Michele Hufferd.
Tickets are available before the show, Hufferd said, for $8 for adults and $6 for children. You can purchase tickets from any Lions Club member, at any of Louisburg’s banks, Price Chopper, HomeTown Pharmacy and Dansel Chiropractic & Acupuncture, she said.
Attractions planned include clowns, acrobats, a dog show, tigers, pony rides, camel rides, and possibly an elephant.
Tickets purchased on the day of the show cost $11 for adults and $7 for children.
