Injury accident

Charles E. Davis, 27, Fountain, Colo., was driving a 1990 Ford Escort north on Pleasant Valley Road north of 335th Street at 5 p.m. July 13 when he lost control of the vehicle, which hit a ditch, according to a Miami County Sheriff’s Office report. Davis and his two passengers suffered minor injuries and were transported by Davis to Miami County Medical Center. All three were wearing seat belts.

Accidents reported

An unknown person was driving a 1985 Ford Econoline van east on 359th Street east of Plum Creek Road at 8:56 a.m. June 21 when he or she lost control of the vehicle, which hit a mailbox and became stuck in a ditch, according to a sheriff’s office report. The driver then left the scene. It is unknown if there were any injuries.

James G. Haeberle of Linn Valley was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger north on Jingo Road south of 373rd Street at 5:45 a.m. July 3 when he hit a deer, according to a sheriff’s office report. Haeberle was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt.

John E. Hunter of Paola was driving a 1995 Dodge Caravan on Lone Star Road north of 327th Street at 7:30 p.m. July 6 when he turned into a driveway and hit a gate, according to a sheriff’s office report. He then fled the scene. Hunter was not injured. He was not wearing a seat belt.

An unknown person was driving an unknown vehicle east on 265th Street west of New Lancaster Road at an unknown time July 9 when he or she lost control of the vehicle, which slid into a ditch and across a driveway, according to a sheriff’s office report. It is unknown if there were any injuries.

Edith R. Litto of Lenexa was driving a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser west on 223rd Street at 10:50 a.m. July 9 when she entered the Metcalf Road intersection and hit a 2006 Ford Escape driven by Benny B. Stuteville of Spring Hill, who was driving south on Metcalf Road, according to a sheriff’s office report. No injuries were reported. Litto, Stuteville and Stuteville’s passenger were wearing seat belts.

Connor O. Kline of Louisburg was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Camaro west on 311th Street west of Victory Road at 9:10 a.m. July 10 when he got a flat tire and hit a replacement utility pole in the north ditch, according to a sheriff’s office report. Kline was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt.

An unknown person was driving an unknown vehicle west on 295th Street east of Spring Valley Road at 9:20 p.m. July 14 when he or she hit a 2002 Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck driven by Mark. E. Reed of Louisburg, who was traveling east on 295th Street, according to a sheriff’s office report. The unknown driver then left the scene. Reed was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt.

Offenses reported

Pamela S. Wilson of Paola reported she was a victim of identity theft at 28734 Hunter Road between 12:22 and 12:45 p.m. July 7.

Jose M. Cornejo of La Cygne and Randall S. Kern of Pleasanton reported a green Jeep valued at $5,500 was taken from 7095 W. 399th St. at 7:37 a.m. July 8.

Jodie C. Berve of Louisburg reported a mailbox and post were damaged at 11921 W. 271st St. between 3 p.m. July 8 and 5:30 a.m. July 9. The damage estimate is $150.

Warren L. Gould of Louisburg reported a mailbox was damaged at 33138 Switzer Road between 8 p.m. July 12 and 1:30 p.m. July 13. The damage estimate is $50.

Stefenie L. Graham of Spring Hill reported two bushes were damaged at 23049 Victory Road between 6:33 and 7:30 a.m. July 13. The damage estimate is $60.

Booked into jail

Jacob A. Wade, 22, was booked into the Miami County Jail on July 8 for allegedly operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Kristi R. Golding, 34, was booked into jail on July 8 for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving with a canceled license.

Dorothy J. Stegner, 59, was booked into jail on July 9 for allegedly failing to appear in court.

Matthew L. Manion, 36, was booked into jail on July 9 for allegedly failing to appear in court.

Nichalas E. Mitchell, 29, was booked into jail on July 10 for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Scott R. Wilson, 26, was booked into jail on July 10 for an alleged aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, making a criminal threat and damage to property.

Adam L. McDaniel, 36, was booked into jail on July 12 for allegedly giving a worthless check.

Scott W. Shay, 42, was booked into jail on July 13 for allegedly driving while suspended.

Bret R. Belew, 22, was booked into jail on July 13 for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Richard L. Cordell, 45, was booked into jail on July 13 for allegedly driving with a canceled license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thomas P. Angleton, 20, was booked into jail on July 14 for an alleged criminal use of weapons.
